I knew we had a lot of things and interests in common before I knew we had a hell of a lot more in common. You always have something constructive to say, regardless of the situation, and that’s something I really admire about you. You care a lot about people, even those you don’t know. You have a great passion for helping people and making a difference, with strangers, with friends, with the family you’ve found. You ar truly a heartfelt, caring, and selfless man—a real man. And especially since finding out the hell of a lot more we have in common, I’ve come to genuinely treasure everything you have to offer as a friend , an officer, a leader, and a truly compassionate human being.
Goodness, where to begin? As I’ve told you before, I truly do believe you will be one of those long-term, definition-of-genuine friends. And I’m super thrilled to spend all that time quoting movies and shows and singing old school R&B with you. What’s more is that you’ve made a significant impact on how I view myself and have helped me accept things that I’ve spent far too long avoiding. You’ve made me so incredibly happy to be myself, and for that, I will forever be thankful for you. You are simply a joy to be around, to sing with, to laugh with, to text ridiculousness with. I’m excited for the script-worthy friendship ahead of us.
I really do appreciate every moment I’ve spent with you since drunkenly meeting you and insisting your name was some “g” name other than Greg. I was quite sure that you would be one of my favorite, most enjoyed, people. And you’ve proven yourself even funnier, more constant, more enjoyable than I expected. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for being my roommate. And thank you for not proving me wrong about how much I would love you.
